Smoothness - The surface quality of a sheet of paper, related to the flatness of the sheet. Mills classify the smoothness of uncoated papers as follows (from roughest to smoothest): mimeo, vellum, antique, eggshell, wove, satin, and luster. Coated papers are classified by gloss.
